A Classic American dip that I discovered years ago in my old 'People's Friend - Round the World' cookbook. Simple but so damn unbelievably tasty.
Serves 3 to 4 – in about 15 mins
- 180g tub of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 3 tbsp of milk
- 1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 1 apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped
- ½ tsp of coarse salt
- Fresh ground black pepper to taste
Step by Step.
In a small bowl, soften the Cream Cheese with the Milk to a smooth, dipping consistency.
Add the chopped Onion, Apple, Salt and Pepper and stir to mix it all together.
Serve with Crudités (crunchy vegetable sticks) or even better, plain Tortilla Chips.
Variations.
- Add some chopped Green (Spring) Onions for added colour.
